Encounter with a Cooper’s Hawk

Earlier today, we had a visitor in our wetland: a gorgeous Cooper's Hawk! It perched majestically on an old birdhouse, taking in its surroundings with a mix of elegance and authority.
The hawk's slate-gray feathers, paired with its reddish-barred chest, made for a stunning contrast against the rustic look of the weathered birdhouse. This beautiful sight really highlighted how much wildlife thrives in the wetlands.
As I kept an eye on the Cooper's Hawk, it took a moment before spreading its wings and gliding up into the sky. This experience really emphasized the intricate beauty of the wetlands and how important it is to protect them for the sake of future generations.
